Episode 1 | SANJO
Did you know that @originalsanjo is the first Portuguese sneaker brand? It is almost 90 years old. It is a culturally rich brand that was worn by athletes across the country and by the military. SANJO was considered one of the mandatory school supplies in Salazar’s time.
Its community carries 90 years of history and, to this day, the brand still receives photos from people that capture distant times, remarkable stories, and pride in being part of the brand’s legacy. We tell the entire story, positioning, and transformation the brand has gone through in this third life, led by @helder_pinto13 and the rest of the team.

Episode 1 | SANJO
CUNHA is a barbershop and Irish pub founded in 2022 in Caldas das Taipas.
The third season of IT’S FOR TOMORROW explores my roots and showcases the richness of entrepreneurs, brands, and companies located in one of Minho’s most influential industrial and innovation hubs. O CUNHA is located in a very special place for me. Before it was O CUNHA, it was my grandmother’s home for over 100 years. I grew up here, and this house will always have a very important emotional connection for me. Many of the decorative pieces belonged to my grandmother, and I am very proud to see that there is still so much of her there.
When Pedro and Sónia took over this space, they embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, and O CUNHA, was born—a business that offers various experiences to its community. Pedro is a barber by trade, but it is in the pub that he brings this space to life with traditional and alternative drinks, always accompanied by good rock music. The arts, poetry, and antiques are other charms that make this place a local reference point.
