BRANDING
The NORTH BUILDING project was a radical change, as there was also a need to create a name for this company. The company’s legal name was also its commercial name. For business strategy reasons, there was a name change which, combined with the new contemporary image, positions this business as a young and dynamic company.
The transformation began with a session with the client aimed at understanding strategic needs, vision, and expectations. We conducted an analysis of similar businesses to understand how these companies behave digitally. Once this benchmarking process was completed, we moved on to the construction phase of the commercial brand for this industrial business.
The NORTH BUILDING naming was inspired by the company’s operations, which primarily take place in the North of Portugal.
PROJECT DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY:
The logo was created using the BREVIER font, developed by Riccardo Olocco. BREVIER is a compact sans-serif typeface that stands out for its simplicity and rhythm. When creating the logo, the font was slightly modified to provide a strong and structural identity. In the logo icon, the intention was to relax the image of an “N” and represent “construction” through the angles and foundations within itself. This representation conveys the idea of solidity and reliability, fundamental characteristics of the brand identity. Overall, the logo presents a minimalist and modern aesthetic.
COLOR:
Colors are fundamental elements in building a strong and coherent visual identity for a brand.
In addition to attracting customer attention, colors also have the ability to convey sensations and emotions, which can stimulate people in different ways. For the NORTH BUILDING brand logo, a cool and sober palette was selected, which translates the idea of construction in a generic and efficient way, while also conveying an image of reliability and solidity—essential factors for a company in the construction sector. One of the colors chosen for the logo was concrete, which strictly fulfills the business message, the idea of construction and resistance, while reinforcing the image of credibility and solidity that the brand wishes to convey.

In this project, a website inspired by the Brand Identity was also developed, with the purpose of portraying the North Building’s imagery.
We know that personal branding is fundamental in the era of brands and business. Co-Founder Luis Pinto is the face of North Building, and a short photo shoot was conducted to capture his image in accordance with the business positioning.
