The POP UP for the month of MAY was dedicated to the theme of ceramics. ATELIER CLARO set up a workbench so that visitors could observe and learn a little about the manual process behind a ceramic piece created by an artist and artisan.
In the display window, visitors could see some pieces created by artists Sara and Noélia, who also led the ceramics workshop at PALCO COLLECTIVE on May 25.

Ceramics is the act that allows us to refine our body’s senses, channeling our sensitivity and imagination into the clay.
When we channel what we feel into the clay, we are giving form to our state of mind, which is reflected in the piece we shape with our hands and in the colors that adorn it. This is the most beautiful process of self-discovery and reflection we can experience or share with someone.
This was the theme we explored in the ceramics workshop held on May 25 at PALCO COLLECTIVE in partnership with Atelier Claro. We feel this is a very important message to share with our community, with the goal of valuing the act of creation, personalization, and craftsmanship.
The group consisted of about 16 people who were very engaged and enthusiastic about learning to create a ceramic piece that reflected their identity. It’s amazing how the creative process can be a journey through time and give free rein to the imagination. The pieces stood out because of the personality each individual imbued them with. We felt that people cleared their minds and relaxed during that brief moment in time, which flew by in a light, soothing way.
