“We can’t rewind history and try it a different way.”
This was the inspiration behind the creation of the @trimalhasknits metaverse. The Rewind collection consists of four themes: Dawn, Noon, Sunset, Dusk, and Night. For each of these themes, four avatars were created to represent the concept and message of each part of the collection. REWIND was presented at the @wearepremierevision international trade show. The @trimalhasknits metaverse was recognized by @wgsn as a concept that is “super on trend.”
We are behind this project: concept and styling. Special guest appearance by artist and illustrator @oh_misco.
Dawn
When creating the character and the outfit for “dawn,” I always kept the comfort of the knitwear in mind. These were the most sustainable pieces in the collection, so nature had to be a part of it. The result was a representation of an elemental material (earth), personified as a character dressed in warm, enveloping clothing set against a natural landscape.
Noon
In this piece, the human form serves solely to showcase the art of fashion. With “high fashion” in mind, this character is a neutral black silhouette that contrasts with the surreal and daring runway and the modern outfit.
Sunset
NEVER OUT OF STOCK
Even more basic than a desert, stripped of all ornamentation, it can still be aesthetically striking. In this way, our character is the embodiment of this very concept—a rock—enjoying the sunset dressed in basics, timeless pieces that are “never out of stock.”
Night
At night is when we choose our most luxurious outfits. In an analogy to beauty, luxury, and premium quality, our character finds herself surrounded by stars, completely covered and adorned. Even her mind wanders into another form of superficiality, as her attention is focused on her cell phone.
Dusk
Everyday life is my gym.
This collection features sporty and versatile knits that can be worn not only for physical activities but at any time of day. Highlights include dynamic jacquards, as well as knitwear with antibacterial and anti-odor technology.
